We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles set out in that Act and any other relevant law.  By using the www.qldstorage.com.au  (Website), making general enquiries or by us providing you with storage products and services you will be giving us information about yourself which you agree we can use in accordance with this privacy policy.

• Collection – 

    When we refer to personal information we mean information from which your identity is reasonably apparent.  The personal information we may collect about you includes your name, date of birth, address, account details, licence number, passport number, occupation, and any other information we made need to identify you.

• Why we collect your information- 

  We only collect personal information about you which is reasonably necessary:

  1. to respond to your storage booking or other request or inquiry;
  2. to supply you with our products and services;
  3. to provide you with any documents, update your records or other information you may require;
  4. as a result of your use of the Website, when you enter a competition or complete a survey form or when you make enquiries with us;
  5. to receive information about our services;

• How we hold your personal information – 

  We hold personal information in hard copy and electronic form. Our technology and security procedures are of a standard reasonable to protect your personal information from misuse, disclosure and unauthorised access.   We only use and disclose personal information about you for the purpose for which it was disclosed to us. For example, we may from time to time use your personal information:

  1. to recommend or provide you with storage products and services;
  2. carry out our business which includes account management, planning, product development, research and analysis;
  3. to inform you about or make offers regarding our new  products and services;
  4. to customise and improve the Website and our related products and services offered to you;
  5. as data (that does not include your personal information) about your experience and feedback regarding our products and services and testimonials for statistics, research and marketing purposes.

  You may also at any time request that we discontinue sending you emails or other communications by unsubscribing, calling or writing to us or by visiting the Centre where you hold storage or storage is held.

  We may disclose your personal information:

  1. to third parties who act on our behalf to carry out business activities;

  3. to anyone, where you have provided us consent;
  4. where we are authorised to do so by law ; or
  5. to investors, agents or advisers, or any entity that has an interest  in our business.

Prior to disclosing any of your personal information to another person or organisation, we will take all reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that  (a)  the person or organisation has a commitment to protecting your personal information by having in place the necessary privacy policy to protect your interests or (b) you have consented to us making the disclosure. 

• Accessing and Updating Personal Information-

  You may access your personal information that we hold about you at any time.  We request that you inform us if any of your personal information changes. Users who would like to request access to, or update, their personal information should contact the Centre where you hold storage. 

• Log information and cookies – 

  The Website collects standard internet log information including your IP address, browser type and language, access times and referring website addresses.  On your first visit to our Website the server may record your information in a small data file called cookies to enable us to (a) identify you (b) authenticate your details (c) track and record the programs you viewed and when you viewed them and (d) collect aggregated data. We use cookies to help us improve and ensure that the Website is easy to navigate.
